ASEAN''s Role in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership: Leader or Partner?
ЮГО-ВОСТОЧНАЯ АЗИЯ: АКТУАЛЬНЫЕ ПРОБЛЕМЫ РАЗВИТИЯ, 2014, №24, 11-18
Annotation: The author believes that in the current political environment the priority in bringing together the countries of South-East and East Asia remains challenging for the economy. Advantages of ASEAN as a political institution were not supported by an adequate role of the organization in support of the economic integration of Southeast Asia. Describing the goals, specific features and principles of The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), created on the initiative of ASEAN, the author drew attention to the difficulties of this process and argued that ASEAN is unlikely to become a leader of RCEP.
