Global financial and economic crisis and its impact on Southeast and East Asia

Annotation: The article considers the causes of the global financial and economic crisis and its manifestations in the centers of world economy as well as in the periphery, while the regions of South-East Asia and East Asia are given special attention. This major region proved to be more persistent to the crisis than the countries of Europe and North America. The author also highly estimates the measures, proposed by the 20 most developed economies on their regular meetings convened to work out the measures to cope with the crisis.
