Annotation: The study provides a profound view of political developments in Thailand in 2008-2009. This period as well as that preceding it was marked by continuous confrontation between Taksin Shinawatra's followers and pro-monarchist forces. The researcher analyses the role and influence of multiple political actors, including such institutions as political parties, the king and royalist circles, the army, judiciary.
