The education system in the Philippines: acquaintance with the Spanish heritage

Annotation: It is known that Americans built their education policy in the Philippines on the Spanish foundation. In this article on the basis of numerous documents the attempt is made to trace the evolution of the Spanish education system in the Philippines, as well as to look at it through the eyes of Americans, who sought to identify its weaknesses and rectify them in order to earn the trust of the Filipino people and to take their own economic benefits.
