The Ideas of “The Society of Light” in the Novels by Members of the Literary Group “Tu luc”

Annotation: “The Society of Light” was organized in Hanoi in 1936 by members of the famous literary group “Tu luc”. The aim of the “Society” was to change the archaic life of poor people by education and to help them: from building houses, roads, wells etc. to distributing money and rice. This paper deals with the novels “Gia dinh”(The Family) by Khai Hung (1896-1947) and “Con duong sang” (The Light Way) by Hoang Dao (1907-1948) which most clearly illustrate the ideology of “The Society of Light”.
