Annotation: The paper gives the analyses of the key elements of the Economic Community of ASEAN (ECA): the formation of a common market of goods and services, turning ASEAN into an economically competitive region, bridging the gap in the economic development of countries- members of ASEAN, the further integration in the world economy. The author shows the contents, dynamics and challenges of each of the components of this process over the past 10 years. He also assesses the general condition and prospects of the regional integration of ASEAN countries.
