The USA and the policy of "pacification" of the South of the Philippines (1901-1913)

Annotation: Confrontation between the Moro and the Christian government in the Philippines has a long history. The colonial masters were replacing each other, but residents of the southern regions stubbornly continued to defend their rights to independent existence, skilfully adapting to changing conditions and the requirements of the zeitgeist. The US policy of "pacification" had demonstrated its effectiveness in the northern and central areas of the archipelago before, but it was carried out not so consistently in the South, which resulted in much lower efficiency. This is evidenced by the fact that the US military pacification of the Moro province lasted 12 years longer than the pacification of the provinces of Luzon. Actually, this is what this article is about.
