Southeast Asian Countries and the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons

Annotation: This paper analyses the position of the countries of Southeast Asia towards the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) – a multilateral anti-nuclear initiative, which had been included in the UN agenda in 2017. The author traces the course of each Southeast Asian state towards TPNW, the signatory or ratification status, and discusses the possible reasons for it.
