Russia and East Asian Summits: Uneasy Way Towards Each Other

Annotation: The paper dwells on the relations between Russia and East Asian summits (EAS). The author stresses that from the very start these relations were not easy. Russia was not accepted in EAS in 2005 and only in 2010 our country managed to join this organization. According to the author cooperation with EAS is a difficult and controvercial problem for Russia mainly because it is no quite clear how effectively and beneficial cooperate with the countries of Asia-Pacific region: either on bilateral basis or in the framework of integration such as EAS.
