Paradoxes of development of ASEAN countries

Annotation: Analyzing the latest developments in the ASEAN countries from the point of view of the relationship of these countries with China, the author comes to the conclusion about some kind of paradoxes in these relations. The crux of the paradox is that while the economic ties between the ASEAN countries and China are continuously increasing, the pro-Chinese tendencies in them do not increase, correlating with the economic indicators, and, in the author's opinion, stagnate or even contract, like in Myanmar. In reality, it turns out that economically China occupies an increasingly important place, but politically and especially from the point of view of sociology and culture, its positions far from increasing, but at best lie at the same level.
