Russian-Singapore relations at the turn of the 19th- 20th centuries

Annotation: The article deals with the process of formation and development of the Russian-Singaporean relations from the19th to the early 20th centuries. Russia and Singapore currently count on expanding both bilateral economic cooperation and cultural interaction between the countries. The article describes the main milestones in the economic history of both countries. Russia has rich traditions of culture and art. Singapore has a unique experience of economic prosperity. Russia and Singapore can use the advantages of their countries and complement each other, but for this it is necessary to know not only their own history, but also the history of the country, cooperation with which can be mutually beneficial and very fruitful.
