The Philippines Infrastructure: Changes Over the Last 2 Years – Interim Results of the “Golden Age of Philippine Infrastructure”

Annotation: The article dwells on the progress and results in the implementation of the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s new program, aimed at modernizing the infrastructure in the Philippines. The author examines why the issue of infrastructure development in the Philippines is so acute and urgent, gives a brief overview of the current state of infrastructure in comparison with other ASEAN countries. The current achievements of the Build, Build, Build program in individual infrastructure sectors are considered: the transport system – air, railway and motor transport, – and telecommunications. The state of water resources in the country is described, the problem of lack of water supply is stated. The author also outlines topics for further research, namely the problem of energy resources and the state of social infrastructure in the Philippines, which, obviously, also needs to be improved.
