Annotation: Nowadays in East Asia after rather long period of relative calm that resulted in the change in the balance of power in the region one can see a steady trend by regional and global actors to revive the territorial disputes and revitalize geopolitical games. The author stresses that growing economic as well as political influence of China stimulates the US to more active policy to contain the rising geopolitical rival.
