Annotation: Grigory Suchkov deals with Golkar participation in the parliamentary elections, he also considers Golkar's national congress and its leadership change. The author stresses that for nearly three decades Golkar was one of the pillars of the New Order regime. And when Suharto who patronized it was forced to step down in 1998, it was predicted that the influence of this organization would fade away. Nevertheless Golkar managed to secure a place in the new political environment. Coming first in the 2014 elections.
