Annotation: Pending parliamentary and presidential elections due in 2014, the situation in Indonesia was marked with some tensions and differences in the political elite including considerable level of ethnic and religious conflicts. The government takes measures to increase the defense and defense industry potentialities of the country. Some decline in the economic growth was the result of the world crisis and excessive dependence of the GDP on domestic consumption.
